Decorating With A Chaise Lounge
I was stopped at my tracks by a beautiful vintage chaise lounge at a thrift store recently — it was sage green, had a classic vintage shape and light wooden legs. All I could think about was this chaise in a room at the cottage…I knew I had to get it! Now, I will admit I had initially left without buying it but it didn’t take me long to turn around. $45 later she was mine!
Aside from the price I immediately fell in love with rediscovering the stylish impact this piece of furniture has on a space. Whether it’s an antique chaise used in a modern space or a new one in a vintage room, there is no shortage in the versatility of this iconic recliner.
Here is how my favorite interior design styles incorporate this timeless piece of furniture.
Vintage
There probably isn’t a more appropriate space for a chaise than vintage interior. Typically, the style required to fit this space is a Méidienne chaise which has a high and curved head rest.

Nordic-Scandinavian
Another go-to interior style I like to take inspiration from is Nordic or Scandinavian. I love seeing these spaces adorned with simple but highly comfortable furniture & decor. Something about it just feels like home!

Modern
The use of the chaise in modern spaces is just so cool! There are so many different styles that can be used in the space to provide an eye-catching element as soon as you walk in the room.
