Auden Lueur: The Making of My Candle Brand

After 4 years of dreaming, sketching, development and research I’m finally able to share my passion project with the world! Introducing Auden Lueur - a collection of non-toxic, fine fragrance candles in custom textured glass vessels meant to be repurposed into your home even after the candle has been enjoyed.

I’m a big candle lover! There is just something so cozy about a tidy house and the warm glow of a candle, but not all candles are created equal! Some candles can be harmful to burn in our homes, contaminating the air that we breathe. So it was really important to me to create a candle that was crafted with high-quality, fine fragrances and essential oils in a natural wax - such as coconut & soy.

When shopping for candles I would always pay attention to the whole package - how does the candle smell, what is the wax, what does the container look like and how can I hide the brand label. Nothing was more annoying to me than a big label plaster on the outside of the candle, so when I set out to design the vessel for my candles I wanted it to be a piece of beautiful decor that I wanted to put on display and one that added something special to a room.

I was really inspired by vintage glassware and I wanted to design a glass vessel that had texture, shape and movement so it was visually beautiful from any angle. Not only would it be beautiful while the candle was enjoyed but could easily be repurposed into your home after - reducing waste and creating a lasting piece or decor.

Developing the perfect scents started with one note and the feeling I wanted the scent to give a home. I love the scent of Bergamot so we developed Arlow that would smell of citrus and energize a room. I also love a clean fresh scent so we developed Ellori with notes of violet that smells like you’ve just cleaned your entire house and opened the doors and windows to let the sunshine and scents from the garden flow in.
